Dwarka: The Dwarkadhish Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, who is also known as Dwarkadhish. The temple is believed to have been built more than 2,500 years ago by Lord Krishna's grandson, Vajranabha, at the location where Lord Krishna is said to have lived and ruled the city of Dwarka. The current temple complex was built in the 16th century and is a five-story structure supported by 72 pillars.

  • Visit Beyt Dwarka, Bet Dwarka, also known as Shankhodhar, is said to have been the residence of Lord Krishna during his ruling years at Dwarka. It derived its name from the word ‘bet’ which translates to ‘gift’ and is believed that Lord Krishna received it from his friend Sudama. The island is enclosed by a few temples, white sand beaches and coral reefs, which is the prime reason for the tourist activity in the region. Nageshwar Jyotirlinga, Legend goes that it was here that a demon called Daaruka imprisoned a Shiva devotee called Supriya. The chants of ‘Om Namaha Shivay’ by Supriya invoked Lord Shiva who arrived here and vanquished the demon. A self-manifested Shivalinga appeared here and is prayed to this date. Rukmani Temple, The temple is said to be more than 2500 years old but it may have been reconstructed over time. Carvings of gods and goddesses embellish the exteriors and the main idol of Rukmini is housed in the sanctum. Gopi Talav, Gopi Talav is a lake located around 20 kms from Dwarka on the way to Bet Dwarka. The story behind the lake takes us back to Lord Krishna’s childhood when he was revered by the gopis of Vrindavan. Dwarkadhish temple, and Gomti Ghat. Gomti Ghat is situated at the mouth of Gomti River, a tributary of Holy Ganges, the most sacred river for all Hindus. The river originates in the Himalayan ranges of Nepal, flows down across many Indian states and finally empties into the Arabian Sea here. Gomti Ghat also has a great religious and mythological significance. According to myths River Gomati is the daughter of Sage Vashishta and her waters are powerful enough to purge one's mortal sins.

Porbandar: A city famous for its scenic beaches, temples, and other tourist attractions. Porbandar is also famous as the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Indian nation. The Kirti Mandir, located in the city, is a memorial dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and his wife, Kasturba Gandhi. The memorial contains several exhibits related to their lives and achievements.

  • Visit of Kirti Mandir Kirti Mandir, a pleasant and bright place of respect, was built in the honour of Mahatma Gandhi and his wife Kasturba Gandhi in Porbandar in the Indian State of Gujarat. The ancestral house of Mahatma Gandhi is located right beside the temple. Visitors can enter the ancestral home from the temple. The age-old Oil paintings of both Mahatma and Kasturba Gandhi and black and white photographs engaged in activities, discussions and even sharing a light moment have enticed and drawn many history buffs from all over the world. and Sudama Temple. Sudama Temple is dedicated to Sudama who was the childhood friend of Lord Krishna and is the only temple in India dedicated to him. Situated amidst a garden, the architecture of the temple is simple with carved marble pillars open from all sides. The temple looks beautiful with a sikhara decorated with splendid architecture and carvings. These carvings are also visible above the pillars and the arches. There is a beautiful mural depicting Lord Krishna washing Sudama's feet when his friend came to meet him and a statue of Krishna and Sudama embracing each other. There is a maze in the temple premises and it is a common belief that crossing the maze helps in removing all the sins.

Somnath: Somnath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is considered one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. The original temple was said to be built by the moon god, Som, and was later destroyed by several foreign invaders. The current temple was rebuilt in 1951 and is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. It is constructed in the Chalukya style of architecture and has a height of 155 feet. The temple is also known for its Aarti and light and sound show which takes place every evening.

  • Visit Somnath Temple, Bhalka Tirth, Bhalka Teerth is one of the most magnificent temples of Somnath city. It is known as Mahaprabhuji's Bethak, and a tulsi tree has been planted in Lord Krishna's honour. Banyan trees dot the courtyard of the spectacular Krishna temple that is built in sandstone. Inside the shrine is an unusual idol of Shri Krishna in a semi-reclining position. The temple also contains a beautiful tribhangi idol of Lord Krishna playing his flute. Triveni Sangam. Triveni Ghat is the meeting place of three rivers Hiran, Kapila and Saraswati and then empties together into the Arabian Sea. These stages of rivers where they meet and then flow together to the sea symbolize human birth, life and death. Triveni Ghat holds a significant place in the Hindu Mythology and Puranas and also finds a mention in the Hindu epics Ramayana and Mahabharata. It is believed that a bath at Triveni Sangam can wash off all sins and also facilitate Moksha by merging with the God.

Junagadh: Junagadh is located at the foot of Girnar hills. The city is famous for various temples, monuments and historical sites. The city is also known for its delicious food, especially the local delicacies such as fafda, khakhra, khaman, and dhokla.

  • Uperkot fort, This ancient fort is believed to have been built in 319 BC by the Mauryan emperor Chandragupta. The views over the city and east to Girnar Hill are superb, and within its walls, there is a magnificent former mosque, a set of millennia-old Buddhist caves and two fine step-wells. The fort has two fine step-wells both cut from solid rock. Maqbara Palace, The first sight of the Mahabat Maqbara seems to be designed to stun the viewer. It stands right in the middle of a dusty and traffic-congested street, like a lotus blooming in the mud. This stunning mausoleum of Nawab Mahabat Khan II of Junagadh (1851–82) seems to bubble up into the sky in the old city. One of Gujarat’s most glorious examples of Euro-Indo-Islamic architecture, with French windows and Gothic columns, its lavish appeal is topped off by its silver inner doors. The minarets on the sides have spiral steps going up to the top of the tower. Ashok rock Edict, This rock edict is a huge boulder that is housed in a small roadside building. On the rock edicts the fourteen Edicts of Emperor Ashoka are inscribed. The inscriptions carry Brahmi script in Pali language and belongs to 250 BC. On the same rock the inscriptions in the Sanskrit language are also inscribed. The Ashoka's Rock Edicts incorporate moral lectures. The emperor Ashoka began the stone written history of Junagadh on this boulder. His 14 edicts in Pali states that he, the Beloved of the Gods, looks after all his subjects. Junagadh museum. The museum was initially a courthouse used by the then Nawabs of Junagadh state where cases were heard. The museum provides the tourists an opportunity to have a glimpse at the glory and grandeur of the Nawabs of Babi dynasty who have ruled Junagadh till India's independence. The majority of the exhibits in the museum date back to the 19th century.
